2015 AGM: Call for business

Update 2 (7/10/15): Business is closed, and members have been emailed their formal notice of the AGM.

Update The AGM has been set of 22 October 2015. Because of the constitutional notice requirements, the latest you can propose business is Wednesday 7 October 2015

NZLARPS will be holding its annual general meeting in mid-October (precise date TBD). We will do a formal call for nominations for the election process closer to the date, but if anyone wants to propose any amendments to the constitution or other business, then you might want to start thinking about (and ideally discussing them among the membership to see if there’s support or holes) them now. Business can either be posted here, or emailed to secretary@nzlarps.org.

The NZLARPS constitution is available here: nzlarps.org/docs/NZLARPSCons … n2014b.doc

Its also a good time to start think about whether or not you would like to run for any of the positions. If you have questions feel free to post here or PM one of the current committee members.

Proposed amendment to the constitution: Amend s33(a) to read

(The changed portion is in bold, and currently reads “all cheques or withdraw slips drawn on the account shall be signed by the President or Treasurer”)

This is to enable NZLARPS’ regional branches to control their own funds, rather than needing every transaction to be approved at a national level. We switched banks to enable this. There’s also a minor language update to deal with the reality of internet banking.
