Revealing player secrets Sophie?
That’s right. She’s actually an alien who was teleported to earth from her flying blue box :p
Sophie! Spoilers!
Oops… my bad.

Wanted:

An ex-lover. Potentially out to get me, but hasn’t been in Crossspire for a while.

Trading partners, couriers, people Maybelle Mountain brought something off that one time. Maybelle is a bit of a high technology nut, and she’ll take a risk on those sorts of things because every now and again she makes it lucky. Though she’s based in Crossspire, she does take trips out and about for trading fairly often.

Her store seems a little… empty. Considering how well she can come up with stuff if you give her a days notice.

I can get things if you pay me well.

Just figuring out arrival and stuff - Solomon is likely to either passing through crosspire on his way somewhere, in crosspire doing work for someone local, or here to meet someone to conclude some business.

Anyone looking for a connection that would fit the letter? Otherwise I’ll just make something up, but cool to work in with other people.

My character Solomon is a possibility. He’s a wandering gunsmith, so regularly spends some time in a place working then moves on. He’s in his late 50s or early 60s, so may be too old.

Temperamentally he’s probably not out to get anyone per say, unless you had a reason that might be the case.

PM me if you want to discuss further.
Who would an out-of-towner (someone who’s obviously an Arcologist with no clue how to survive in the wilderness) who’s been hanging around for a few days have been likely to encounter?

Flora’s not the most outgoing person but she’s got an intensely curious nature, so she’ll have been checking out the surroundings and talking to anyone who doesn’t seem threatening. I want her to have done something other than sulk in the bar for the last couple of days. Although she’s probably done a fair bit of that as well.
Since you’re not obviously here to trade, Mayor Harris will be interested in finding out why you’re here.

Just minding my own business and staying out of trouble, sir.

(Seriously, if you want to have hassled/questioned Flora, that’d be awesome.)

Hi folks

If anyone out there (players or NPCs) is part of the far North or Righteous Bear tribes, can they PM me plse? I have a question or two about possible previous trades and/or meetings…

Cheers.

PS: if anyone is interested, I have confirmed with Sophie that the Candymen live “in the middle of nowhere” about 2 days’ walk from Crosspire. At least, via the routes they know.

It’d be cool if there could be a wanderer who got in trouble with the militia at some point and recognizes my character from it

It’s no secret that if you’ve got cargo that needs ferrying across the South, you wanna use The Sprawl Courier Co. And it’s no secret that if you wanna coordinate anything with TSCC, you go to The Roadhouse - a sprawling complex that’s one part truck stop, one part tavern. Rumour also has it that there’s more to it than that - if you’re deemed important enough to be ushered into the back rooms. Not a lot of people are. TSCC own the place and keep it running, just as happy to take your chips for pouring a cold pint as they are for transport your goods.

It’s known that the head of TSCC is someone known simply as “X”. Wild theories abound as to who X actually is, but if anyone actually knows they’ve been sworn to silence. The spectrum of speculation ranges from thinking X is a 7 foot tall African American man with biceps the size of tree trunks, to a 13 year old girl wise beyond her years. Some even suggest there actually isn’t an X, that TSCC is run by committee with no central leader.

Either way, TSCC have had something of a monopoly on courier routes heading southward, gaining a well-deserved reputation for being reliable, fair, and not afraid to take on the most difficult jobs. They are the big players in the land, and X (if there is an X) is sitting quite comfortably at the head. But things started to change a few years ago. TSCC started charging more - a lot more. And their service got a bit sloppy too. Something was different. The monopoly remains, and The Roadhouse is still where you go to talk biz, but it’s clear TSCC isn’t quite the well-oiled machine it was.

OOC: If you think you’d have had dealings with TSCC, or X (if there IS an X), drop me a message and I’ll give you some info that suits your specific relationship with TSCC.

Known throughout the territories is ‘The Yang Apex’ a relatively small courier group that specialises in finding, objects, people, anything you want. Known through this part of the country is JJ; a tough looking gentleman in his early 30’s who is the Yang Apex contact around here.

OOC: If you are wanting any background connections I am open to almost anything that fits in.

Muppet: you need to change your signature, it’s still referencing the 5th Teonn game (and we’ve just finished the 6th!).
