Brokenville

This is an experimental Larp based on the Philip Ridley play of the same name. It relies heavily on collaborative storytelling and improvisation (if that sounds scary, this may not be the game for you.)

We are all people with no memories. We find ourselves in a broken place where we will name each other and tell magical stories. In these stories we will take on the roles of Princes and Queens, Witches and Monsters.

Maybe, as we become other people, we will discover some of the truth of who we are.

Venue TBA. Contact brooklynne@brooklynnemichelle.com for more details.

Dr Who: The Oncoming Storm

The Last Great Time War rages across the universe. Millions die every second, lost in bloodlust and insanity, with time itself resurrecting them to find new ways of dying over and over and over again. And now, Arcadia has fallen, and a Dalek fleet is bombarding Gallifrey. The Time Lords quail in absolute terror. The Last Day has begun.

But before the end, before the Moment, before the end of time itself, there is a last, desperate chance for peace. Caught within the time lock, the Daleks have sent envoys offering a treaty. Lord President Rassilon has assembled an Emergency High Council to hear them, and to agree plans for the future of Gallifrey when they have escaped. And from outside the time lock, The Doctor has arrived - two of him! Can he untangle their temporal knot, and break their bubble of stasis? And can Time Lords and Daleks end their apocalyptic war that has ravaged time and space? Or will it all burn?

“The Oncoming Storm” is a game of politics, science fiction, and emotional introspection for 13 players by Tony Vila and Aili Klein. It lasts 6 hours and has lengthy character sheets. All background is provided so a complete newcomer to the “Doctor Who” television show can enjoy the game, but fans of the canon will find a lot of it brought together in these characters.

Venue and price TBA. Contact larpwellington@gmail.com for details.

Hydra 2016

Hydra, back for another year. Registrations should open sometime after KapCon.

The future:
Time to start thinking about the winter season! We’re currently eyeing up games for ComicCon (June) and post-Armageddon (July), but we still need something for May. Yell out if you want to run something.
Embers will run its first game on the weekend of 20 August.

Hello there, LARPers, this is an announcement from the friendly GM team of 33AR.
We’re currently running with 23 players and 29 crew for session 5 (not counting the GMs). While we love significantly outnumbering the players, we feel it would be a shame to let 7 player spaces go unfilled if there are people out there that would like them.
This session is the beginning of the third act of the story and, while late in the piece, there honestly is still plenty of opportunity to make an impact.
No previous campaign or even LARPing experience required to have a great time. The GMs are more than happy to answer any questions you may have or talk things you’re unsure about through with you.
Alternatively, if you don’t want to play, we ARE always accepting more crew signups…
