New Horizons - Vampire: The Requiem Monthly Larp

Postby Anastriel » Sun, 29 Nov, 2009 9:55 pm

Myself, Dave, Taz, Becky and Nikki shall be running a new White Wolf, Mind's Eye Theatre larp, to start late February 2010. It is vampire's only, set in Auckland, modern day.

Our new forum is up and running at: http://newhorizons.vampire-legend.com/forum.htm

We are currently accepting character concept submissions. We are running an established city, and so we encourage the formation of integrated concepts to create coteries and family ties.

Players of all experience levels welcome. For more info, sign up to our forum.

For you, doesn't that include anything that contains;

a; chance for roleplay
b; chance for rp wooing of women and general carousing
c; chance for flamboyant rp wooing of women and general carousing
d; chance for flamboyant rp wooing of women and general carousing while wearing tight?
e; ALL OF THE ABOVE!
Ragnall of Argyll - the man so hard, he had to be killed twice...

Adventure and mayhem... Knightshade: Realms.

Hi Zannii

We will only know closer to the game if we will need NPCs or not. We will keep you posted. However, if you need help creating a character, and you would like to play, let us know nd we will see what we can sort for you.

Thanks

Alrighty,

We have had several character concepts which have already been submitted and approved. The ST's are meeting for the last tim before the holiday season, this Friday.

So if you want your character concept approved before January, get it in to us on the New Horizons forum before this Friday.

Thanks

Nikki

somewhere in the new horizons forum or here, you need to post a copy of the rules coz for those of us who didn't play requiem and are being carjooled into playing this one, we don't have copies :) hence can't make character concepts
Knightshade: Mara Maristella - a budding bard with magical twist, Iltherin by birth, human by upbringing.
St Wolfgangs:"the cutest vamp that you ever did see" aka minion of satan
Chrono Continuum: Lady Avalon - damsel-in-distress, adept screamer.
Serenity: Captain Adelaide Carmichael of The Paragon.

The problem there is the rules are copyrighted so they can't post up copies. Ask around, I'm sure you can find someone who has the book or access to the book
St Wolfgangs: Thomas Larson - 13 (/16) years old and fighting the vamps!
Ashes on the Wind: Ethan Brake - Fix-it Extraordinaire!
New Horizons: Lord Ewan Wright - Scottish Private and Paranormal Investigator
Serenity: Goodwin Reid - Evil twin victim and Spaceship base jumper

HI Prema

The Requiem rules can look daunting for someone who has never playd before. I know! I was a newbie only 2 years ago!!!

If you PM me your email address I can send you a PDF copy of the rules, if you would like help creating a character, the best way to do this is to find a player who you want to play with and knows what their doing and ask them to help you crerate a character (we really encourage linked back stories)

Otherwise I am going to discuss at teh ST meeting tomorrow night, that we hold a "Character Creation" workshop day, to help new players.

Dont let the complication of the rules put you off, it is very worth it in the end, as some of the most intense roleplaying I have experienced was in the previous Requiem game.

Cheers

Nikki

Character creation workshop sounds like a good idea, I'm sure we can find some time somewhere for it. I expect the others will be keen too.

Otherwise Nikki's right, linking yourself with another player is the easiest way to get involved. We suggest that new players might like to play 'fledglings' - new vampires that have only been turned into vampires within the last year. That way, you have a player who is your sire who is responsible for teaching you all about vampire society. You can learn as your character does.

I'd also suggest thinking about modern day concepts that you might enjoy playing. Start with the human, and then the vampire tends to flow from there. Why were you chosen? What was special about you that made someone decide to give you immortality?
